Special educational needs team
If your child has special educational needs, we're responsible for managing the statutory assessment process and offer advice on: the assessment criteria and process used to identify additional needs; how resources are used to help support children with additional needs; requests for specialist equipment and support for pupils moving into the district. For more information contact our on 01275 884 423.
The sensory support service helps children and young people up to 19 years of age who have visual, hearing or multi-sensory impairments. We provide advice to their families, help assess their needs, train teachers and teaching assistants and directly teach specialist skills to people working in an education setting.
Supportive Parents provides the statutory parent partnership service for North Somerset - providing support for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs. Find out more about what they do and the services they offer by visiting the Supportive Parents website.
