Becky's Buddies (Rebecca Taylor)

Becky’s Buddies is a childminding setting run from my home in the Trendlewood area of Nailsea; close to Golden Valley Playing Fields and Nowhere woods.  As an Early Years Practitioner and a parent who has worked full time I understand how daunting returning to work and choosing the right care for your child can be. I will work together in partnership with you before and during your time with me to ensure I provide the right environment for your child to blossom through every stage of their early development progress.

I have over 20 years experience of working with children. I am a qualified Early Years Practitioner with a First Class Honours Degree in Early Years Education. My experience ranges from 0-17 years of age in a variety of settings, including, a baby unit, private nursery, family unit, infant school, pre-school and most recently in a nursery class and of course being a mum to three daughters.

I believe that through play children develop their own theories so they can make sense of their world. To nurture the interest and personality of each child and meet their individual needs through the Early Years Curriculum, I will support children’s natural curiosity by providing a wide range of experiences, both in my homely setting and in the natural surroundings of our community.  Activities will be planned to give children opportunities to learn through discovery and exploration, thus stimulating their natural curiosity, creativity and imagination.

Please do not hesitate to call me to arrange a visit and talk about your childcare requirements. I would love to meet you and your little one.

Description

I am working towards becoming a Specialist Childminder (SEND). This is a joint project between North somerset Council and Springboard Opportunity Group that aims to develop childminder's skills and confidence in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

I have attended North Somerset inclusion training, and have a commitment to attending further training to support the needs of children with additional needs. I will have access to the Specialist Childminder coordinator who is available to provide support and guidance around meeting the individual needs of your child. In addition, I will have access to a North Somerset Area SENCO from the Early Years and Childcare service for advice and guidance
