Bridgwater College

Bridgwater College is located in the heart of Somerset, with main centres in Bridgwater and Cannington. It also has outreach centres in Lufton near Yeovil and Paignton.

The College has an excellent reputation both regionally and nationally as a highly successful provider of education and training. It is a Beacon College and has been rated Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ for 14 years. It has received 14 National Beacon Awards in recent years, and 2016 has seen the College go from strength to strengths with its efforts being rewarded with TES FE College of the Year 2016, Sedgemoor Large Business of the Year award and the Queens Anniversary Prize for its work with employers.

Bridgwater College caters for more than 17,000 full and part-time students and employs more than 1,300 staff. The student population comprises approximately: 3,000 16-18 year olds studying A Levels, BTECs and Apprenticeships; 600 students following Higher Education programmes and 1000s of part-time adult learners.

There is a growing international community, with students from 78 different countries. The College also works closely with local and regional employers and has an excellent track record in providing certificated and bespoke training solutions for the business community.

There is an extensive curriculum, offering 37 A Level subjects, 100s of Vocational pathways and 100s of apprenticeship opportunities, covering the key areas of Arts & Technology, Humanities & Sciences, Business & Professional Studies, and Land-based Studies.
