Children are much more likely to develop and maintain  healthy eating patterns  if they have a positive relationship with food from their early years.

Our guide to maternal and child nutrition (pdf) provides consistent advice and information to help reduce obesity in both children and pregnant women.

We want to make sure that mothers and carers for young children have the information and guidance they need to make sure they receive the best possible start in life. This will help to promote good nutrition for mums, dads, infants and pre-school children, which in turn will benefit general health, growth and development of the under-fives in North Somerset.
