What we must do

We have to tell you:

  • what services are available across education, health and social care
  • who the services are for
  • how to access the services

You can find the legal requirements about who is required to do what in:

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Partnership Board

The SEND Partnership Board is the group which ensures that the systems and process we operate and the services we commission fit together to provide the best support for children with SEND in North Somerset. It meets every two months - timing meetings to be in school terms, and at times suitable to all partners.

Guidance for parents, children and young people

We have worked with colleagues involved with SEND to produce simple guides that sum up the key steps, issues or processes involved in getting support.  You can access the guides here.
