About you

 

To excel in this role, you will deliver person-centred care to enable customers to remain living in their own homes as safely and independently as possible. You will also play a key role in supporting the practical induction and offering expert advice to our Home Care Workers in addition to providing supporting to the Team Leader including the on-call rota.

 

For this role you must have an enhanced DBS check that we will pay for.  

 

As a full-time role, we would need you to be able to commit to working alternate weekends and the ability to start by 7am or at the latest 8am.

 

You must have a full driving licence with access to transport and be able to work some evenings and weekends.

We have full-time and part-time roles in Portishead, near Bristol, supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. From enabling individuals to go to the footie, horse riding and out socialising, to supporting with finances, managing their homes, and with personal care, each day is always different. You don’t necessarily need experience as we provide full training.

If you’re new to health and social care, we provide full training including the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you’ve experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training and career progression. 

You'll be supported by colleagues who are proud that all our ratings from the Care Quality Commission are all now Good or Outstanding.



Requirements

You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / nights. A full driving licence is essential for some roles.
