We provide support via various teams and services which include:

Guidance for parents, carers and young people

We are working in conjunction with parents, carers and young people in North Somerset to develop accessible, easy to read guidance explaining how the SEND system works. You can view and download these guides from the Local Offer website.

A new booklet has been produced in collaboration with the NHS and South West NNPCF on called Admission Avoidance - how to avoid mental health admissions for young people with autism and or a learning disability

Information Advice and Assistance

We commission SEND and You (SENDIAS) to provide North Somerset's free, confidential and impartial information, Advice and Support Services for parents, children and young people who have SEND up to age 25.  Please see their latest video's:

North Somerset Parent Carers Working together aims to improve the service, provision and the quality of life for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs by being the independent collective voice of parent carers and a strategic partner for the Local Authority, Education and Health. NSPCWT supports parents & carers with children between the ages of 0-25 that have an emerging need, additional need and/or disability.

Bridging the Gap Together provides a range of workshops for parents/carers of children and young people with complex needs or disabilities

IPSEA are a national independant charity offering advice for parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
