The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) supports anyone in the United Kingdom affected by childhood acquired brain injury. We provide information, support and training to families and professionals.
An acquired brain injury is often referred to as hidden disability, and often goes unrecognised. This inevitably leads to problems for a child in terms of education, provision of care and support.
Families often become the experts in their child's care with no formal qualification and no experience. CBIT is working to change this and ensure that professionals recognise the impact and understands the issues.
We support:
- children with an acquired brain injury
- parents
- brothers and sisters
- relatives
- professionals
