If you are breastfeeding and want to meet up with other breastfeeding mums, need help and support, or are pregnant and thinking about breastfeeding, please visit our weekly café.
What is MAMMA?
MAMMA (Mothers Advocating Mother’s Milk Association) is a breastfeeding peer support group for Portishead, Pill and surrounding areas. The group was established by local mums and community midwives, in 2005.
What are Peer Supporters?
We are all local volunteer mums who have trained to be peer supporters. Peer supporters just mean mums helping mums. Peer supporters who run our cafe are all DBS checked, and have completed accredited training.
There are 4 ways to contact MAMMA for friendly breastfeeding support
Drop into Portishead Childrens Centre every Tuesday 10am to 11.30 am to meet other breastfeeding mums and talk to trained peer supporters.
