Penny Brohn UK

Why choose us?

Penny Brohn UK is a National charity, funded by public donations that provides free, integrative care to cancer patients, before, during and after treatment.

We know that cancer affects so much more than just your body.

Our aim is to bring improved health and enrichment to everyone affected by cancer. Whether you’re dealing with a first-time diagnosis, or you are further on in your cancer journey and are looking for ways to live well post-treatment, we want to help you find the right physical and emotional support for you to build your resilience.

Our Bristol Whole Life Approach helps you to live as well as possible in every area of your life, no matter who you are and whatever your circumstances. It recognises that, to be healthy, we need to pay attention to all parts of ourselves – our mind, body, spirit and emotions, as these are all closely connected and work together to support our immune system and its ability to keep us well.

We’re driven by the desire to help people live the best lives possible for as long as possible, going the extra mile to make it possible.

Referring your patient

We provide a range of support options for your patients, to help them manage the physical and emotional impacts of cancer. Everything we do is evidence based and draws on the latest thinking on cancer survivorship and self-care activation.

We also offer specific support for people going through chemotherapy and radiotherapy through our Treatment Support Clinic in association with the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.

We receive NHS funding for patients referred through Bristol Wellbeing Therapies on 0117 982 3209 or South Gloucestershire Talking Therapies on 0117 378 4270. This applies for Counselling and Applied Relaxation sessions at our National Centre. For patients living in other areas, we are able to offer up to 12 sessions, either face-to-face or on the phone.

Your patients can also self-refer by calling 0303 3000 118 and speaking to a member of our Helpline. If you would like information leaflets for your practice, surgery or waiting room, you can find them online here or call 01275 370 122 to request printed copies.
