HAF Provider (North Somerset) - Healthy Appetite and Activities

We organise, plan and deliver activity sessions during the school holidays, with our coaches who are all highly experienced across a multitude of multi- sports, activities and arts & crafts.

We work hard to provide an amazing variety of activities to suit everyone. We deliver age-appropriate physical fun and enriching activities that give children the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge, or to seek out new experiences.

A key element of the programme is the addition of nutritional education designed to improve children’s knowledge and awareness of healthy eating, with good food practices for families and carers. Each week our guest chef will be delivering a demonstration of quick and easy meals for all the family to cook, and enjoy around the dinner table as a family.

This year the scheme has been given a major boost by Premiership footballer Marcus Rashford of Manchester United. Our holiday programme includes enrichment activities that can include Emergency Service visits, nutritional advice and cooking workshops. Also a visit from the globally acclaimed Football Freestyler 'Dan Magness', and visits to local attractions.

Notes

As part of the North Somerset Holiday Activities and Food (HAF), offer for Easter 2022, we are running a fun holiday provision again at The Campus to offer a 4-day course for young people in years 5 to 16.

Each day there will be a mixture of fun activity sessions, Football, Tag Rugby, DodgeBall, Tennis, Cricket etc, and then a range of enrichment sessions for everyone involved.

We'll spend four days W/C 11th April from 10am-3pm each day, from Monday to Thursday on week 1, and week 2, we commence 19th-22nd from Tuesday to the Friday due to the Easter bank holiday.

Participants will need to be in receipt of benefit related free school meals and with mild to moderate SEND requirements.

Before any sessions commence, we’ll also be there to conduct risk assessments to ensure all venues are safe. When activities commence, rest assured that our high quality, safe activities bring fun for every child, along with a hot meal each day.
