Advisory Centre for Education (ACE)

The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) is a national charity that provides independent advice for parents and carers of children aged 5-16 in state-funded education. ACE aims to provide the information, support and high-quality advice that parents need to help their children at school, particulalry where there are problems. We are:

  • Independent
  • Expert
  • Responsive
  • Proactive
  • Inclusive
  • Accessible

We provide free, independent and legally accurate advice on education via our advice line, helping parents to support their children's education. We give advice across the whole range of education issues: school exclusions, special educations needs, school admission and choice, bullying, attendance issues and disputes or discrimination.

Calls take on average 30 minutes, reflecting the complexity of the issues we help patents and carers with. This allows us to dig a little deeper to discover the root cause of a problem, and suggest solutions based on our years of experience. Our advisors help parents find a way forward and work with schools to get a positive result for their child.

ACE's free, independent education service is now available by sms/text message. Text keyword ASKACE to 68808 and follow the instructions.
