Tai Chi in Nailsea on Friday

Tai chi is an art embracing the mind, body and spirit. Originating in ancient China, tai chi is one of the most effective exercises for health of mind and body. Although an art with great depth of knowledge and skill, it can be easy to learn and soon delivers its health benefits.

At the heart of it, Tai Chi is a moving meditation in the form of a series of gentle exercises that create harmony between the mind and body. The ultimate purpose is to cultivate our inner life energy (qi) to flow smoothly and powerfully through the body.

Tai Chi is easy to learn and can be practised almost anywhere  . It’s suitable for anyone, because exertion levels can be adjusted to suit your physical condition.

Classes every Friday afternoon from 2 - 3 at 2nd Nailsea Scout Hall, Hannah More Road, Nailsea, North Somerset.

Chen Style Tai Chi is a familiar sight in the parks of China.  This gentle routine trains the mind and body together.  Practicing the Tai Chi can improve a persons quality of life, from better health to greater physical and emotional confidence.  It will also improve energy level, alertness, coordination, flexibility and reduce stress.

All Tai Chi exercises are performed standing.  Gentle, slow, soft and contemplative, they are suitable for all ages and abilities,  you just need are flat shoes and casual clothes so you can move easier through the exercises.
