Nailsea Shedders (NS) is a registered Charity which runs along the lines of a 'Repair Cafe', affiliated to the United Kingdom Mens Sheds Association (UKMSA) but are multi gendered where 40% of our members are women. We formed on 17th February 2014. We are based in Nailsea but it is the social aspects and the interests we have in fixing, mending, repairing and repurposing things which brings us together. Doing things together reduces social isolation while sharing, learning, recycling things, makes us all feel good knowing in our own small way, making the planets resources stretch further.
We have people who come to us from several neighbouring parishes such as Portishead, Clevedon, Yatton, Backwell and Wraxall.
There are many ways in which you can get involved, become a member, enjoy a chat over tea/coffee, learn new skills, donate any tools or materials you think may be of use or sponsor us, whether as an individual or as a business.
Following COVID 19 and the easing of lockdown, we were the first to develop a 'Click, Collect & Repair Service' (CCR), taking orders within appropriate Governmental guidance and within PPE guidelines, to collect things needing repairing and in accordance with our insurers, permit Shedders to undetake repairs/commissions in their own homes,
