Carers Counselling Service, Carers Support

Our free Counselling Service is available for young and adult carers, and anyone who has been a carer throughout North Somerset.

Sometimes it can be helpful to speak with someone who has no other role in your life about concerns or difficulties you may be experiencing. Counselling offers a safe and confidential environment to talk about your feelings and to share any fears or concerns that you may have. Although you may not be able to change your situation, counselling can help you to find more positive ways of coping.

Please be aware that there is often a waiting list for counselling, and there may be a delay before we are able to respond to enquiries about this service.

We are members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and we abide by the BACP Ethical Framework and Professional Conduct Procedure.

All carers are being offered telephone support/signposting when needed, and being made aware that they can call when support is needed. A facebook group is being set up for carers who have been referred and are accessing services. In future when demand is assessed, they may look at the possibility of Zoom groups.
