We are a family run childminding business and I work with my mum. We are based in my family home which benefits from a generous garden with a small climbing frame, wendy house, vegetable patch, mudpit and various outdoor activities. Inside we have a playroom full of games and activities we hope will ensure the children in our care remain constantly stimulated.
We want your children to be able to grow and develop at a pace that suits them whilst making sure they have fun and enjoy themselves. We have separate sleeping areas for those children that still need their cat naps and we have a separate 'schoolie' room if the older children want to watch TV or play on the Xbox. We are firm believers that a healthy and varied diet along with outdoor activity and mental stimulation are the best of starts for your children. We attend the childminding groups each week and we go on daily outings such as Farms, Parks, soft play, walks, woods, beaches and occasional whole day trips out.
I am working towards becoming a specialist Childminder (SEND). This is a pathway that aims to develop childminders skills and confidence in
supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I have attended North Somerset inclusion training, and have a commitment to attending further training to support the needs of children with additional needs. I will have access to the Childminding Coordinator who is available to provide support and guidance around meeting the individual needs of your child. I will have access to a North Somerset Area SENCO from the Early Years and Childcare service for advice and guidance.
