We are proud to be a part of the exciting West of England Works programme, which is led by Weston College and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and European Social Fund, and is part of the national Building Better Opportunities programme. This is our main focus from January 2017 until June 2022 as we seek to provide more employment and education opportunities for people across North Somerset.

Solutions for You
Solutions for You has been designed for our participants to grow in confidence, practice conversation techniques and learn how to become proactive.
This programme will run once a week and is an ideal introduction to learning.
Solutions for Work
The participants will then move on to Solutions for Work, which is held over 2 sessions a week. This programme focusses on managing change, recognising skills and qualities, building a CV, preparing for interviews and developing skills for work.
We run a job club on a Friday morning where we support our participants to learn basic computer skills, search for and apply for work.
At the end of Solutions for You and Solutions for Work we then have an activity week. During activity week we organise a variety of things, such as a day trip to Goblin Coombe, a beach walk, quiz afternoon, a session on healthy eating or a colour therapy workshop, amongst other things. We also take our participants on a Job Search Treasure Hunt where they learn to make a speculative approach to employers for jobs and volunteering opportunities.
