I am a Ofsted registered childminder who is based in Nailsea. I have two daughters one is 1 year old and one is 9. I also have a step son who is 18.
I offer a warm and welcoming home from home environment for all children that I care for, as I have worked full time and know how hard it is to leave your children with someone else to care for them. I have a dedicated playroom and a large garden with lots of outdoor play equipment.
I have my NCFE CACHE LEVEL 3 award in preparing to work in home based childcare alongside my NVQ LEVEL 4 in childcare. I have a full paediatric frist aid course, my safeguarding children and child protection and my level two food safety and hygiene for early years settings
Every day is different in my setting and person centred to the childs interests and developing needs, its important that children are happy and relaxed in there setting so they enjoy learning and can develop to their full potential. I have a varied range of resources for the children to use and i like to spend time outdoors exploring the world around us, going to parks, woods, play groups, local library being apart of the local community.
I am a North somerset Specialist Childminder (SEND). This scheme is run by North Somerset Council and aims to develop childminder’s skills and confidence in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
I have attended North Somerset inclusion training, and have a commitment to attending further training to support the needs of children with additional needs. I have access to the Specialist Childminder coordinator who is available to provide support and guidance around meeting the individual needs of your child. In addition, I have access to a North Somerset Area SENCO from the Early Years and Childcare service for advice and guidance.
I work within a small ratio of children as feel they should be given my full attention to be able to develop to grow and have quaility time developing in all areas of learning so they have the skils they need for when they take the next step and go into school or preschool.
