The Minor Injury Unit is not appropriate for life-threatening injuries or any illnesses
The Minor Injury Unit offers treatment for adults, children and young people for a wide range of minor injuries that are less than three weeks old. Attendees will be seen in order of clinical need, this may mean you are not seen in the order in which you arrive.

- Sprains and strains
- Cuts and grazes
- Arm, lower leg and foot injuries
- Superficial bites
- Minor burns and scalds
- Minor head injuries (no loss of consciousness or taking blood thinning medication)
- Broken noses
- Eye problems such as scratches, foreign bodies in the eyes
- Broken bones – we have an X-ray service available
- Removal of Foreign bodies
- Sports injuries
